Ristoranti, casinò e soldati...
Kyrenia o Girne è la città più famosa della costa nord di Cipro. Un tempo il suo porto era famoso per le mura e la torre ed era abitato da pescatori. Oggi costituisce soprattutto un'attrazione turistica con i suoi bar, ristoranti e casinò. Nonostante l'atmosfera rilassata e vacanziera non ci si può dimenticare della presenza di 40.000 soldati turchi che occupano dal 1974 questa parte di isola.

 

 
Restaurants, casino and soldiers...

Kyrenia or Girne is the most important town on the north coast of the island. Its harbour was famous in the past for the castle and the walls and for the fishermen activities. Now it is an important tourist place full of fish-restaurants and casino. Although the holiday and relax atmosphere we can never forget that this part of the island is under control of 40,000 Turkish soldiers.
