 Penisola di Akamas
Akamas peninsula
   
La penisola di Akamas, primo parco naturale dell'isola, è famosa soprattutto per la leggenda di Afrodite che qui veniva a lavarsi nei cosiddetti "Bagni di Afrodite" che altro non sono che una sorgente d'acqua all'ombra di una rigogliosa vegetazione. Dai Bagni di Afrodite parte un sentiero che porta nel centro della riserva dove si possono osservare animali in libertà. Tutto intorno è un mare incontaminato e splendide spiagge.
  
   

Akamas peninsula, the first natural park on Cyprus, is famous for the Aphrodite legend. The goddess used to bathe in the pool that is named for her: Bath of Aphrodite. From this spring a path leads into the natural reserve, where it is possible to see wild animals and luxuriant vegetation.. Surrounding are wonderful beaches and a pristine sea.
